Evaluate your audience. Who are they? What do they need to know about the subject at hand? What do you want them to walk away with in terms of the subject matter? 2. Define your time limit. How much time do you have to present? If it is 15 minutes, make your presentation 10 minutes and allow for 5 minutes of Q&A. Don't run over your time allotment, and keep on schedule! 3. Research! Use the internet and your company information to develop the key talking points you need to convey. Don't be afraid to get stumped during the presentation, or the Q&A, just tell them that you don't know the answer and you will get back with them one on one later. That is better than making up a wrong answer. You will gain more credibility being truthful! 4. Keep it fresh, fun and focused. Add some humor, get audience participation, don't just talk to a group, involve the group! 5. Make it memorable. The best presentations are when people talk about how much they enjoyed it.
